You're Reading: BUILD.EQUATES default

A post in MVDBS & SB+ Server & Techniques & U2

I use the BUILD.EQUATES on all files as I prefer to use actual field names while referencing records in routines.

When using the process, the ‘Equates Target File Name’ defaults to the DICT of the source file.

But in UniVerse it is not possible to INCLUDE DICT filename in a UniBasic program.

It does make sense to store this info in the dictionary of the data file. Rather annoying. Is this a unFeature of UniVerse or a unFeature of SB+?
