Hi there,

Welcome to my page for the DC Tech Expo in October 2016.

I have an extensive portfolio of technical (hardware & software) and management experience ranging from DevOps to software development projects. I mainly worked with NoSQL legacy databases and the needs of small and medium businesses (SMB). I have been sole-charge and worked as a team; contractor and full-time.

Along with 3 post-graduate degrees and 35+ years experience within the IT industry, I am now refactoring myself from legacy NoSQL databases into a Big Data practitioner and DevOps, with a focus on Python as a primary tool.

Current Projects

Open Source

I am currently contributing to two github projects: trapexit/mergerfs-tools and hypriot/flash.

The mergerfs union file system really needs a disk rebalancer which I am developing in Python 3.

The Hypriot flash is part of the Hypriot OS for running docker on a Raspberry Pi.

Raspberry Pi Stack

Using the Hypriot os, I am setting up a raspberry pi docker swarm.
